Dharmash Mistry

Managing director of the east division, Emap consumer media

Dharmash joined Emap in 2000 as Strategy and Operations Director as part of the start up team to set up Emap Digital. In 2002 Dharmash he became Managing Director of Emap Consumer Media (ECM), working alongside Paul Keenan (CEO) to reform the UK consumer facing magazine group. He now looks after Emap East and Cap.

Most recently his profile was raised with the launch of the mens magazine Zoo Weekly. He led a successful launch, one of Emap's most expensive, and currently looks after other consumer titles such mens magazine Arena and entertainment magazine Empire.

He started his career with Procter & Gamble after a degree in Engineering, Economics and Management (EEM) at Oxford University. In 1997 he joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Consultant. He is only one of two Asians from the magazine sector on the list. The combined sales of his magazines add up to over a million copies a month.
