Controller, special events and pop features at Five

Sham Sandhu is the only top level controller of Asian origin in British media. As one of the top decision makers at Five, he is responsible for the network's music and youth-oriented shows. He initially commissioned its now-ditched "adult" programming, but is looking to expand this genre with slightly more upmarket programming.

He has the power to make careers and would rate higher if it wasn't for the fact that Five still needs a breakout hit to become a bigger brand name like Channel 4. However, being the highest youngest entry, he clearly still has a long way to go in the industry.
