Commissioning editor, factual entertainment at Channel 4

As the commissioning editor for one of Channel 4's most important genres of programming, Raman has been involved with a string of hits, including Bollywood Star, 100 Greatest Movie Stars, The Ultimate Pop Star, The Importance of Being Famous and The Truth About Take That. She is responsible for developing factual entertainment formats and reports to Channel 4's head of entertainment and comedy, Andrew Newman.

Raman has produced and directed programmes for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 - her work for Channel 4 includes Baadasss TV, Flava and Devil's Advocate.

Prior to joining Channel 4 she was the executive producer for factual entertainment programming at Endemol UK, one of Britain's biggest independent production houses and a major supplier of shows, including Big Brother and Restoration, to the BBC and Channel 4. She has also worked at LWT and Brighter Pictures.
