Bobby Friction and Nihal

DJs at Radio 1

Though they have been at Radio 1 for only a few years, Bobby Friction and Nihal have built their presence at the station with great speed. Initially given a late night/early morning slot, they proved themselves sufficiently to warrant a prime time slot on Wednesday evenings.

Bobby and Nihal are high on our list because they are seen as the poster boys for the growing British Asian music scene. Frequently asked to comment on the music scene, they are also expanding their repertoire by getting into presenting documentaries and shows for TV and radio.

Nihal now runs a regular club night called Bombay Bronx, while Bobby Friction is planning to set up his own.
