AiM doesn't wish to control the news or comments agenda on our website, and we encourage anyone to write articles for the website.

The audience
Please bear in mind the audience when wanting to write an article. Asians in Media reaches out media professionals interested in a variety of issues. From those interested in the British Asian media industry; freelancers with an interest in the industry; those from the press looking for ideas and stories; people trying to recruit more ethnic minority talent - all the way to those interested in Asian community and media issues.

Your article has to relevant to one or more of these groups.

Length
Articles written for a web audience should never be too long or detailed. People prefer to skim-read or read shorter articles at work. Therefore please try to keep the size similar to that of most articles on the website. Although there is room for manoeuvre.

Your article

Due to the non-profit status of our web-zine, we don't pay for articles yet.

On the flip side, you will be writing for UK's only British Asian media industry publication, which reaches out to over 4,000 media professionals currently, including the biggest mainstream and Asian media companies in the UK.

Your article may be edited, or sent back for re-working.

Credit would be given to the authors.

Please send in a synopsis of your article, not more than 2 paragraphs. This should have a full outline of the article you wish to write. To send in your ideas, contact us.
Once sent, you should ideally get a reply back within 2 working days.
