Ikonz goes for a re-design
1st September, 2007

The celebrity and entertainment publication unveiled its new look for the September issue.

Reena Combo, editor of Ikonz, said: "Ikonz magazine is and has always been about putting our readers first. There has been a gap in the market and we've successfully filled that gap."

"We are one of many ethnic-orientated publications in Britain, all providing their own brand of first class journalism and content."

The publishers say its bolder and more tabloid look was devised after months of research and testing the impact of previous issues.

She added: "We celebrate this and consider ourselves to be privileged to be a part of that wider family; and this is why we are supporting Magazine Week."

The Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) is launching its first Magazine Week from 17th to 23rd September.

It says the event is designed to "create excitement, celebrate the industry's diversity and inspire the public to go out and grab a magazine".

Over 2,000 magazines sold every minute of the day in Britain and over 500 new titles are launched every year. The PPA says Magazine Week will aim to show there is a publication for every available lifestyle, hobby or interest.

Ikonz is also offering free annual subscriptions to the first 20 people to register interest on the website between 17th and 23rd September.

The nationally distributed magazine was launched in December last year. It is priced at £1.99.
