THE TERRY LLOYD MEMORIAL BURSARY In memory of the life and work of ITV News Reporter Terry Lloyd, ITN and the NUJ sponsor this annual bursary to give an up-and-coming journalist valuable TV news reporting experience. Spending six weeks in the ITV News department at ITN, you'll receive extensive training - plus the opportunity to produce a package for transmission on ITV Network news. The scheme is designed for an experienced journalist with a proven print, TV or news agency background: definitely not someone who's just started in the business. While you don't need to be a reporter now, you should have a good broadcast voice and a clear understanding of what makes memorable reporting. In short, this bursary offers exposure to Network News for an ambitious journalist who has come up through the ranks - just as Terry did. You must also share ITN's commitment to being a diverse term working together, to create the right content, right now. To apply, send us your full CV and a covering letter telling us why you are right for this exceptional opportunity. Also send a proposal for a three-minute report for ITV News (500 words at the most) giving an outline of the story, its news value and relevance to the ITV new audience. E-mail your application to bursary@itn.co.uk quoting reference BUR-06A. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications from people currently on staff at the BBC, ITN or Sky News. We are only able to contact candidates who are successful in reaching the interview stage. ITN is committed to equality and fairness and creating a working environment where diversity is recognised, valued and celebrated. ![]()
