UK ASIAN MUSIC AWARD WINNERS 2008!!
Shaanti’s 9th Birthday Party and the launch of their New Web Site and Champaign Sounds feat. Wiley Live & Cameo (1Xtra), Spek & Vader from Invasian and many more!
The biggest and best names in the business have played there, their award-winning musical policy has launched many careers and all those who haven’t played in any of Shaanti two rooms would do so at the drop of a 12”.
Shaanti, arguably one of the best global nights in the world over the past nine years since its arrival in Birmingham, The Factory will celebrate its Ninth Birthday with an all-star line-up in huge style on Saturday 22nd March.
In the outside marquee Shaanti presents “Champaign Sounds” which in simplistic terms could be described as nothing short of a purist's wet dream. This is where the Founder of grime, Wiley (Eski Boy, Roll Deep), the Asian Timberland, Mr Rishi Rich and his crew H.Dhami, Mumzy, Krash and Mentor will be squaring up against each other for a live seismic battle of galactic musical depth. With his signature driving 4 by 4 beats, abrasive tones, and resonating bass lines, Cameo from 1 Xtra will take to the decks while Spex (live) and Vader from Invasion take us on a musical journey spanning 3 decades of drum and bass.
Meanwhile, from closer to home, Room 2 will be keeping it tilted with the perfect soundtrack to the modern clubbers from Funkshaan. For something a little different legendary resident DJ Rich Reason will be leading an all-star cast with music from Sublime DJ’s, Harry D, Roni K and DJ Das, rounds off a mouth-watering extravaganza.
Nine years of jaw-dropping brilliance expertly extolled into six and a half hours of scintillating musical adventure. Quite simply, the party of the century...
