Buy some material.
Design something unique for yourself.
Get it made.

LOL sin c

time is kinda tight, hence the desperate search for something ready-made, but there are sooo many stores in the midlands that sell ready made outfits (the quality also varies, and some of them are hideously overpriced!) that knowing where to begin is a bit of nightmare..

But if time wasn't an issue - I would take up yr suggestion.

Sarah:would need the outfit in approx 2 weeks

Maryam: are these British Size 8-10?

yes they are approximate measures as asian outfits are cut on different patterns as opposed to english ones. I can take some pictures and mail them to you and also measure the outtfits and mail them if you wish!

That's a shame Tinkerbell.

the easiest outfit to ge is a sari which tend to come in one-size sizes only, you may have to adjust the top a little bit. If you had about a month would havelovd to make you something: or even give you somethng of mine to borrow, but I am not your size.
Accessorise to accentuate on the sari or outfit you may get. A plain bright colour with contrasting jewelrey works well.

Good luck!!!!

xx

Be unique and sweet!

Hi Tinker,

I saw this new shop in Birmingham they have some wicked stuff. It looks pricey from the outside but I had look and they are really reasonable. It's in the Jewellery quarter B'ham. Called Silhouettes I think they do alterations cos they do made to measure.

hi tinker,

judging by your last email i see you're already married.

but if there's anyone else wanting some info on asian fashion houses and designer boutiqes in birmingham here's some info:

there are some really good shops in birmingham at the moment.

new shops open::::

sillhouettes are really good(but seem like a cheap substitute to chiffons to me)

naina has some amazing sarees.

and there is this new amazing shop open on soho road called sati.

sati is a fashion designer and does design consultations his clothes are amazing (especially the bridal)

shop looks more like should be in bond street, london than soho road, birmingham

check his clothes in asiana mags and the new viya mag

(although a little expensive)

but i suppose you get what you pay for.

chiffons have some good pieces and so does kirans.

but in my opinion sati and chiffons are proberbly the best if you have the budget in birmingham
.

Silons have some wonderfuly outfits and will barter for cash payments. they also make your designs for you.

Hi everyone, Im getting married in May 09 and looking for some advise on the best places to shop for bridal wear and top quality asian jewellery-gold/artificial. I'm from Scotland and there really aren't any decent options available here. Was going to travel abroad to get jewellery etc but unfortunately can't due to work commitments. So any help/advise would be much appreciated.
