THE DANCING NIKITA COMPANY, are an established Indian & Bollywood dance company based in West London.
They have an outstanding troupe of professional dancers who represent the company by performing regularly at private and corporate events in the UK. They have an impressive portfolio of performing at high profile events for clients such as Ford, BMI, Phyzier Pharmacutical, BBC, Sukshinder Shinder, Kemal from Big Brother and many more.

In 2007, Nikita and her professional dance troupe will be putting together their own Bollywood dance production which they will tour across Germany, Austria and other countries of Europe.

The company are auditioning for versatile & professional standard dancers to join their company and perform as part of this production, which will tour all over Europe during the year 2007.
If a dancer cannot commit to such a project they are still welcome to audition to perform as part of the company’s professional troupe based in West London.

Ideally, the applicant will be ethnic, versatile and will have strong techniques and experience of Classical Indian / Bollywood / Modern-Western dance forms. It is vital for the dancer to have extremely strong pick up, grace, expression and stage presence. The dancer will need to be committed to rehearsals which will take place in West London and be available to take on long term contracts.

The Dancing Nikita Company are auditioning for semiprofessional/professional standard dancers of ANY ethnic origin to join their Bollywood dance troupe and perform in a Bollywood dance tour in Europe during Spring of next year.

The first season of the tour has been scheduled for March 2007 in Germany. More seasons in other countries of Europe will then follow. Dancers applying must be available for longterm contracts.

Previous Indian/Bollywood dance experience is ideal but not neccessary for the audition. Please note that this is the FINAL audition for this tour!

Details of the audition are as follows:

Date: Sunday 10th December 2006

Venue: Downstairs studio, Featherstone Sports Centre (next to high school), 11 Montague Waye, Off Western Road, Southall, Middlesex (near Southall train station).

Time: Starts at 2pm. Will go on no later then 4pm.

The audition process will consist of:

Between 2-3pm, each dancer will individually present their own dance piece for 2mins of their strongest technique. In this piece we will be looking for rythym, timing of the candidate, projection of movement, clarity of movement, energy,stage presence and expression.

Successful dancers will be asked to stay for the workshop.

Workshop will be a 15min session from 3pm where you will learn Kathak, Bollywood & Modern dance movements. We will be testing your pick up skills according to the pace that we teach our choreography.

You will be asked to then leave the room and wait in the reception area for 15-20mins whilst the judge(s) decide. You will be brought back in small groups to be told the verdict.

Those who are successful will be sent a contract for Germany.

The judge of the auditions will be Nikita, who is the director of the company. She is also the choreographer and director of the production which is being toured in Germany next Spring. Nikita will be looking for commited and passionate dancers with strong potential to be trained into her styles for the tour. Rehearsals will start from January so the dancers should be available and reliable.
