Er.. the upcoming paki lilly allen

Why do Asians always have to copy
-- Is it just me or does anyone else
share the same opinion that this new
upcoming Sarah Sayeed is so
desperately trying to look and sound
like Lilly Allen -- why can't she just be
original and different? No wonder
Asians have never creeated a true
cross over artist - maybe with the
exception or MIA and Jay Sean. The
video is so embarrasingly trying to
copy Lilly Allen that it's miles off the
sync -- just so tacky.. Sayeed
should get pull it immediately -- not
doing her any good. Have to admit -
she's got a nice voice tho -- -- has
anyone heard anything else of her?

It's worth noting that when Kate Nash
came out, everyone said she was
desperately trying to sound like Lily
Allen, but then NME champion Kate
at a pioneer and now loads of young
female artists sing in that vein.

So this Sayeed is following a genre,
just as the examples of MIA and Jay
Sean followed their genres.

I'm not embarrassed to see a young
girl trying to branch out of the usual
Hindi or r&B options, and the video is
tacky because no one is throwing
money at her. Not my cup of tea, but
good on her

Every singer bases themselves on someone else. There is nothing wrong with that.

We have a habit of getting oversly sensative when it is an asian act doing the copying.

Having said that I can't say Sayeed is much cop... or maybe just not my thing.

I am so inspired that I have been motivated to write similar lyrics:

"The cat sat on the mat.
Or was it a bat who shat on the mat?
I was hanging out wiv me Dad,
it was very sad.
He said, hey boy, you are a little shit,
but I knew he didn't mean it.
Then he smacked me in the mouth,
It was then I realised I was heading South.
I hit the floor, or was it the door.
I don't know, I don't care if he loves me anymore.
Brain damage I now have,
blow me, I'm of to the lav."

I thank ye.

Oi Sayeed. Nick that and I want 10% or I'll come after ya!

Genius.

"I came to this forum
My first thought was 'um..'
Cos I'm a bit slow like
Like a snail, which is an analogy like
Or maybe it's a simile
Which kinda sounds like a song title
Lilly Allen had a number one with so I
used it willy nilly
Or maybe it's a metaphor
I dunno what for
But I know I said willy, see I'm not a
div
I put the verse in subversive"

Tomorrow, we shall ALL be famous

"Genius".

One can only try one's best.

As for your attempt. Good effort... I think you can put the 'verse' into subverse but not subversive. Cos you'd be putting the 'versive' into subversive. Hold on,I feel another rhyme coming on... Oops, it was just last night's curry. Sorry.

Oi Tourist -- shove over, I got a
better one and I want 15% , Sayeed..

"I was sitting with my mum
eating my bun
thinking i was the only one
to let out a fart
but i was was out done
with a head start
as she let out a stinker
more deadly and pinker
than mine
it was sublime
partner in crime
like a flu they call swine

Then the fart asked me
when i was laying on the bee
what is it all about?
I said i can draw a cloud
with your vapor
Me, I'm a terminator
and a uh..uh..".
...hmmm .ok.. i give up .. that Sayeed
must be a true genius to come with
rhyming -- i can' go beyond second
verse!

Wiv me mum
It ain't dumb
Like a copy of The Sun
Read by scum
...ooohhh oooohhooohooo
I'm so pretty
You're so shitty
But it don't matter
'Cos I can flatter
Or bruise your ego
