Broken britain: youth

by thuglife
11:14pm - 6th September, 2009

Yo peeps,

Been doing a little research and ground work into the youth of Britain today.

So called ' Anti- Social behaviour' has destroyed communities across the country and has created a revision of the underclass- disillusioned youths who hang around street corners drinking and committing crimes that damage 'society'.

But we know this already, the media has given us a clear insight into what is wrong with this country, at least in part.

It does, however frustrate me that the most common reason for why youth do these things is get this.... boredom.

It seems that while these 'agents of social control' ( ie police, politicians etc) are happy to state the obvious, and those among you who have experienced this know this all too well.

But, the solution is staring you in the face, ASBOS and CRASBOS are NOT a deterrent.

I have met many youths who have a record as long as my arm and it doesnt faze them, even doing some jail time along the way doesnt hurt your street cred. It makes them champions of their game!

So, what happened to the youth centres of the 80's and 90's?

Has social cohesion taken such a knock that we disregard the youth of today?

Bottom line; these people need something to do with themselves.

But they need the support.

Society has to make them feel that they are an asset, rather than a detriment to this cause.

Having seen how the police deal with youth is a joke, they push them to aside and have the approach of brushing the REAL issues under the carpet.

In my opinion, theres nothing wrong with have a drink/smoke with your homies, but this is all these kids do. Because there is nothing else in their lives. So, they disrespect other lives.

But, how can we repair 'broken Britain' when all we do is point the finger and in some cases ignore a major problem in this country?

Fuck terrorism, if you look at this country in 5-10 years time, if/ when the youth have grown up and entered society.

If the Muslim with a bag of C4 strapped to his chest isnt going to destroy this cohesion the 'hoodie' will and then this country will truly eat itself.

Imagine what fucked up human beings we will have to deal with then?

Its all very well talking about this, I mean this country is GREAT at talking/debating things, but its time for action.

Rant over. Would love to hear your thought on this guys and gals!

I'll tell you what makes me a laugh a
bit. The Sun's campaign to name and
shabe the yobs of Britain. They even
put one on the cover last week. On
the COVER. Of Britain's biggest
selling newspaper. Here's this two-bit
twat who'll stab anything that doesn't
give him proper respek, and he's on
the cover, everywhere. Yeah, bet he
felt proper shamed...
