The new edition of the long-running fashion quarterly Asian Woman magazine hit newsstands this week. And this time it sported a different name in the editor’s page.

Jay Wimal has taken over the day-to-day running of Asian Woman magazine after its previous editor Brianna Ragel left the publication and return to her native Australia.

She hasn’t strictly taken over as editor – that position is still officially vacant and she is listed as Deputy Editor in the masthead.

Ms Wimal joined Asian Woman magazine in 2006 straight after finishing her masters.

After working her way through the magazine she eventually became deputy editor and is now responsible for producing the fashion magazine.
