Following the succesful launch of her single last month, upcoming singer Sarah Sayeed is working to release her hotly anticipated debut album.

The lyricist and MC has been tipped as hot ‘homegrown’ talent by presenters on BBC 1Xtra radio (video below)

She released her single ‘Black Is…’ last month with a launch party at London venue Cargo.

The London born artist, having spent time living in Bangladesh and Manchester, returned to London two years ago to focus on singing.

She has recorded and performed with the likes of leading classical singer Swati Natekar (Nadia, Nitin Sawhney’s Beyond Skin) and DJ Food. She has toured and performed live in the UK, Australia, Denmark, Holland, US and Canada.

In May this year she launched her own own brand label – Sister Elements – to release new music on vinyl to DJ’s.

She also has another single, ‘Out Of Control’, out on the label.

Sarah Sayeed will play at the Southbank Centre in London on Friday 23rd October.
