The Cultural Diversity Network has launched a new ‘mentoring scheme’ starting next year to address racial diversity in the broadcasting industry.
The deadline to apply is next week.
The scheme has been developed to help people from culturally diverse backgrounds to take their careers to a senior level.
It is aimed at ethnic minorities who have proven experience in any area of programme making or broadcasting.
The scheme will offer people a year’s mentoring from a leading figure in the industry. There are 25 places available nationally.
Closing date: 30 September 2009.
The Cultural Diversity Network is an alliance of UK based broadcasters and production companies, including Channel 4, the BBC, Sky, ITV, MTV and Bafta.
