Last Mango in Paris goes for debut album
March 30, 2009

Last Mango in Paris, aka spoken word artist Shane Solanki, releases his first single ‘Manbag!!’ on 20th April through Soundeasy Records. That will be followed up by his debut album ‘Broken English’, featuring Birmingham grime artist RT.

He describes the album as featuring, “loads of shit-hot musicians lay down roughneck grooves as beds of iniquity for lyrics about kissing teeth, Jewish black cab drivers, ASBO’s, the war on terror, immigration, hijabs, and so much more.”

‘Last Mango In Paris’ will be performing at the Congress Centre, London WC1 on Monday 27th April, with Billy Bragg, Shazia Mirza, Lemn Sissay, author Sarfraz Manzoor, and MP Jon Cruddas as part of ‘Celebrating Hope-A Night For Searchlight’.

He will also be at the The Great Escape Festival (May 14th-16th).
