Screening: weekly reality-show pilot episode
February 15, 2009

What would you give up to be famous? Bad Karma: My Life Through a Lens, follows the struggles of 4 young adults from Southall, West London, desperate to make it big in a dark insight into the entertainment industry.

The series uncovers the lengths an aspiring actress, a film and TV director, a Bollywood Hero, and rapper/comic book artist will go to fulfil their ambitions. Along the way they encounter scandals, blackmail and even murder.

The shows format blends a unique mix of documentary, drama and comedy that reflects the experience and motivations of its subjects. In the pilot episode each character is introduced through their own point of view with piece to camera interviews that narrate the plot.

The pilot serves a prototype for a weekly drama series. A truly collaborative effort; all cast and crew recruited with nothing more than faith in the script and concept.

The first episode will be exclusively screened at The Drawing Room in Notting Hill on Tuesday 17th Feb 09.

Doors open at 18:30 with a chance for press interviews and commissioners to meet the cast and crew, followed by the screening at 20:30 and a Q&A session at 21:30.
