Jay Sean releases new single ‘Tonight’
January 21, 2009

Singer Jay Sean releases his new single Tonight this week. It was available through iTunes and other online stories on 19th January and will be available in high street stores by 26th January.

Over the past year the singer has toured around the world, including Dubai, Japan, Beirut, USA, Poland, Russia, Germany, India and Romania.

The single is the first release since signing to US hip-hop label Cash Money Records. A new album, which is rumoured to feature rapper Lil’ Wayne, also signed to the same record company, is due to be released in the United States soon.

He recently revealed he would be performing at Lil Wayne’s Grammy party.

The singer does not have a distribution deal with a major record company in the UK since he parted ways with EMI / Relentless several years ago.

He has also been working with Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle, Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan and boyband Boyzone.

“Keisha and I have done a song together, which we haven’t decided on a title for it yet,” he told the Daily Star newspaper. “But it’s looking like either ‘Far Away’ or ‘Don’t Leave’. I’m doing a track with Nadine too. It might be for my next album or theirs, we don’t know yet.”

He added: “I’m also writing with Ronan Keating for the Boyzone album. As a songwriter it’s so good to diversify. I love getting in the studio.”
