Dangalnama is a gripping account of sectarian rioting in India since the assassination of Indira Gandhi in 1984.
The play, which is part of London’s Lift Festival, will be playing at Theatre Royal Stratford East later this month.
Through the voices of journalists, students, artists and politicians, Dangalnama presents survival stories that are in turn moving, shocking, thought-provoking and surprisingly humourous.
It will be performed in Marathi, English, Hindi, Kannada and Gujarati with English subtitles.
Fri 13 - Tues 17 June / 19:30 - 21:30 / Sun 15 June / 14:00 - 16:00, 19:30 - 21:30 / Wed 18 June / 14:00 - 16:00
